Unicorn

Unicorn

Yep, they're real 🦄 Unicorns are private startups that have managed to see amazing growth spurts and are valued over $ 1 billion. A term that venture capitalist love to hear.

Cowboy Ventures’ Aileen Lee is given credit for coming up with this rad term. SpaceX, Robinhood, Epic Games and Instacart are some examples of Unicorns. Most Unicorns strive to go public to continue their rapid growth.

Aileen Lee wrote that only 0.07% business hit that enviable mark. Our guess is that there are well over a thousand Unicorn across the globe.
