Technical Analysis

Technical Analysis involves understanding price movements, historical charts, graphs and trends to figure out which way the stock is likely to go.

The idea is that patterns that have occurred in the past are likely to represent what is likely to happen in the future. Technical analysis doesn’t consider a company’s financials like fundamental analysis does.

The theory was brought into light by Charles Dow (Yes, that Charles Dow). The theory evolved over the years and has now become reliant on efficient technology and computing.
